Zohar Vayishlach
Continued from previous DZ
#109
Genesis 3:14
“וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶל הַנָּחָשׁ כִּי עָשִׂיתָ זֹּאת אָרוּר אַתָּה מִכָּל הַבְּהֵמָה וּמִכֹּל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה עַל גְּחֹנְךָ תֵלֵךְ וְעָפָר תֹּאכַל כָּל יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ.”
“Then YHVH God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all the livestock, And more than any animal of the field; On your belly, you shall go, And dust you shall eat All the days of your life;”
When Hashem said “On your belly, you shall go”, the Snake lost his legs, having nothing to stand on.
When the people don’t support the Torah scholars and sustain them, the Snake gets thighs and support to stand on and get stronger. The other side builds itself when there is a lack of holiness.

#110
The angel who fought Jacob all night was Sam-l that rides the force of the Snake in this world. He knew what Isaac said when Jacob came to receive the firstborn blessings from him, “The voice is Jacob’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.”
The angel wanted to stop the voice of the Torah that Jacob carried with him, so the strength would go to the hands of Esau that is on the other side.

#111
The angel saw Jacob strong in all respects, saw the arms on his sides, namely Chessed and Gevurah, representing the strength of Abraham and Isaac. He saw the body, which is the secret of Jacob bringing together the two arms, which strengthened him. He saw that the force of the Torah with Jacob was strong in all aspects, and it brought him to fear that he wouldn’t be able to overcome him.
The angel tried to outsmart Jacob, “And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh” (Genesis 32:26).
He intended to hurt the ‘supporters’ of the Torah to fulfill Isaac’s words to Esau.
Genesis 27:40
“וְעַל חַרְבְּךָ תִחְיֶה וְאֶת אָחִיךָ תַּעֲבֹד וְהָיָה כַּאֲשֶׁר תָּרִיד וּפָרַקְתָּ עֻלּוֹ מֵעַל צַוָּארֶךָ.”
“By your sword, you shall live, And you shall serve your brother, And it shall come to pass, when you become restless(תָּרִיד), That you shall break his yoke from your neck.”
Isaac gave strength to Esau but at the same time, served his brother, Jacob. He can break this ‘yoke’ when the brother becomes ‘restless’, which Rashi explains “The word תריד signifies grief, pain, as (Psalms 55:3) “I am distraught (אריד) in my complaint”. It means: when Israel will transgress the Torah and you will have reason to feel aggrieved with regard to the Blessings, ופרקת עלו וגו THEN THOU SHALT PULL HIS YOKE FROM OFF THY NECK (Genesis Rabbah 67:7)” (Rashi’s translation from https://www.sefaria.org/Genesis.27.40?lang=bi&with=Rashi&lang2=en)

Lesson;
The other side would serve us, as long as we are connected and support the Torah. In simple words, “Darkness can not overcome Light”
