Zohar Ki Tisa
Continued from previous DZ
#119
Joshua was immortal until the Snake approached and defiled the Tabernacle, Malchut, as explained before. This is a secret that is written;
Exodus 33:11
“…Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.”
“Young man” “נער” is the aspect of the angel Metat- that is also called “נער” and receives Light from Malchut.
“did not depart from the tabernacle,” which means that he is like the tent of the Tabernacle, which is Malchut. As the tent defiled, so was Joshua, even though he had the mark of holiness and immortality from Mount Sinai. Since the moon was blemished from the Left, he couldn’t be saved alone from that blemish.

#120
Praised are the Tzadikim that know the secrets of the Torah, cling to it, and fulfill the precept;
Joshua 1:8
“This Book of the Torah shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

Because of their connection to the Torah, they will merit life in the world to come, as it is written “for this is your life and the length of your days” in;
Deuteronomy 30:20
“by loving YHVH your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding close to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, so that you may live in the land which YHVH swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
