Daily Zohar # 4041 – Balak – The keeper of the vineyards
Daily Zohar 4041

The whole world nourishes from the extracted Light of the Land of Israel. We have already learned that the Land of Israel is Malchut, and in between upper and lower are all the other nations that receive from that extract. Even those of the lower sefirot of the other side nourish from that extract. This is the narrow path between the vineyards, which is a path for the ministers of the other nations who are blessed by it.
Israel receives all the Light because they are connected to the center column that joins the Right and the Left together. The other nations are on the Left line and cannot receive from the unification of Zeir Anpin and Malchut. At the time of the unification, the three lines roll together, and a narrow channel of Light from the Left line is open. It is called the path of the vineyards, where vineyards are a reference to the ministers of the other nations.
Balaam went on the path of the vineyards to receive the power to curse Israel, but the angel of YHVH blocked his path so none of the other nations could cooperate or help Balaam.
Rabbi Yitzchak said it is written;
“Do not look upon me because I am dark, Because the sun has tanned me. My mother’s sons were angry with me; They made me the keeper of the vineyards, But my own vineyard I have not kept.”
The Shechinah in exile is dark for the lack of Light. She was made “Keeper of the vineyards,” which is the other nations, but not her vineyard, Israel, because they are in exile and can not receive all the Light and its blessings.
