Zohar Balak
Continued from previous DZ
#497
Afterward, Aza and Azael teach him sorcerers and magics, and he stays with them for fifty days. When the time comes to go his way, that little animal called Onimata, and all those snakes, go before him until he comes out of the mountains of deep darkness.

#498
When Balaam came to Aza and Azael, he told them what he wanted. He shuts himself up with them in the mountains. And ask to make Israel return to Egypt. The Holy One, Blessed be He, confused and spoiled all the wisdom and sorcery in the world, and they could not come close to hurting Israel.

#499
Since Balaam saw that he could not harm Israel, he returned to Balak with another piece of advice. His advice was to send the Midianites beautiful women. And if Moshe hadn’t told us, we wouldn’t have known. It is written;
Numbers 31:16
“הֵן הֵנָּה הָיוּ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּדְבַר בִּלְעָם לִמְסָר מַעַל בַּיהוָה עַל דְּבַר פְּעוֹר וַתְּהִי הַמַּגֵּפָה בַּעֲדַת יְהוָה.”
“Look, these women caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to trespass against YHVH in the incident of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of YHVH.”

Lesson;
Initially, Balaam wanted to disconnect Israel from the Shechina and divine protection. Since Israel had the Torah with them, they received the complete protection of the Holy One, Blessed be He. Balaam and Balak could not do anything to break that bond. The only way they have left is to create a spiritual disconnection on the individual level. It was done by sending the beautiful women of the Midianites and, with the help of Magics, to seduce Moses and the people to have sex with them and follow their idol, Peor.
They achieved their goal partially because the individual free choice can break out from the protection of God. As a result, a plague spread in the camp, and 24,000 people died until Pinchas stopped the plague by killing the couple that started it (Numbers 25:8).
The first plan was to disconnect Israel from the ability to connect to the upper three sefirot. Since this plan did not work, Balaam and Balak sent the Midianite women to drain the energy of the men at the level of Yessod, which is done by sexual acts. Sex draws life force from the upper levels through Yessod(male) to Malchut(female). Disconnecting from the pure system causes a significant loss of Light, and people die. The magic of the Medinite women was so powerful that if Pinchas didn’t stop it, it would have destroyed the people of Israel. For his heroic action and sacrifice, Pinchas became immortal and later transformed into Elijah, the prophet that can move freely between the spiritual and physical dimensions.

Impure sex relations cause damage on the level of Yessod that is related to all aspects of Life. It could ‘kill’ relationships, loss of money, sustenance, and health. To correct that, we connect to the Torah and Zohar and sacred teaching that connects us to Life. The act of Tzedakah is an essential correction because it connects Malchut to Yessod. This act creates a bridge of Life from the upper levels of Light to Malchut.
To maintain a continuous channel of Life from the upper levels into our lives, we study every day and make Tzedaka at least once a week.

It would be beneficial for married couples, no matter how old they are, and if they still have a spark of love and respect for each other, to schedule ‘dates,’ especially on Friday nights, to draw life force and blessings into their lives. Avoid letting your husband lose seeds of blessings outside a proper vessel.

During the ten days of repentance עשרת ימי תשובה, we increase our studies and Tzedakah giving. We were judged on Rosh Hashanah, and the final ‘verdict’ is given by the supreme and merciful judge on Yom Kippur.
Earn more merits by making a ** Tzedakah - Yom Kippur and support the Daily Zohar, which is a channel of Light that provides Zohar studies available, free for all.
