#126
Rabbi Elazar said, may all those who say that the Holy One, Blessed be He, is not going to resurrect the dead die. How is it possible to think otherwise when Hashem makes a new creation out of wood? Let the wicked and foolish people far from Torah and far from him come and see it. Aharon held in his hands a staff, a dry wood, and Hashem temporarily changed its shape and gave it life.
The bodies of people that already had holy souls in them followed the Torah and studied the Torah day and night, buried in the ground. At the time of the Final Redemption, the world would rejoice, and the Holy One, Blessed be He, will bring back new life.

Isaiah 26:19
“יִחְיוּ מֵתֶיךָ נְבֵלָתִי יְקוּמוּן הָקִיצוּ וְרַנְּנוּ שֹׁכְנֵי עָפָר כִּי טַל אוֹרֹת טַלֶּךָ וָאָרֶץ רְפָאִים תַּפִּיל.”
“Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body, they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust; For your dew is like the dew of light, And the earth shall cast out the dead.”
Rabbi Chiya said the same body would rise as it is written, “Your dead shall live,” meaning the dead as they were. It is not written; he will create them because they have already been created. They only need to be brought back to life.
One bone from the body remains in the ground, and that bone does not rot and is never lost, and at that time of the Resurrection, the Holy One, Blessed be He, will soften it and make it like a dough. It will rise and spread to the four directions, and from it, the body and all its organs will be perfected, and Hashem will put the soul back in the body.
Rabbi Elazar said that this bone would be softened by the dew as it said in the verse, “For your dew is like the dew of light.”
Lesson;
The bone referred to in this study is called the “Luz bone.”
