Leviticus 23:24
“דַּבֵּר אֶל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה לָכֶם שַׁבָּתוֹן זִכְרוֹן תְּרוּעָה מִקְרָא קֹדֶשׁ.”
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.”

Rosh Hashanah is the day of judgment for the world, and we have a mitzvah to blow the shofar, as it is written;
Psalm 81:4
“תִּקְעוּ בַחֹדֶשׁ שׁוֹפָר בַּכֵּסֶה לְיוֹם חַגֵּנוּ.”
“Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon, At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.”
We have already learned that on that day, the moon, which is Malchut, is covered, and the world is in judgment (same above #193) because that prosecutor covers and locks the door on the king who is Zeir Anpin. The moon that is Malchut is the place where judgment is demanded.

How was permission given to the prosecutor to cover the light of Malchut and to demand justice? He replies it is certain that the Holy One, Blessed be He, has put in the hand of that prosecutor to bring the whole world to justice. He has given him a specific day to come with all claims for judgments.

the Holy One, Blessed be He, made that day so that the fear of Him will rise and affect all. This is a secret of;
Ecclesiastes 3:14
“יָדַעְתִּי כִּי כָּל אֲשֶׁר יַעֲשֶׂה הָאֱלֹהִים הוּא יִהְיֶה לְעוֹלָם עָלָיו אֵין לְהוֹסִיף וּמִמֶּנּוּ אֵין לִגְרֹעַ וְהָאֱלֹהִים עָשָׂה שֶׁיִּרְאוּ מִלְּפָנָיו.”
“I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing was taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.”

What did he do? He made the prosecutor be like a sharp sword over the whole world, and all this so that all would fear the Holy One Blessed be He. The prosecutor who brings the iniquities of the people to justice seizes the people, kills them, and beats them as it comes out of the court of justice.
