And he replies, at that time, the Holy One, Blessed be He, will wake Abraham up and say to him, get up because the time has come for me to redeem your sons and give them good rewards for all they suffered in exile. Abraham was connected to their exile, as it is written;
Deuteronomy 32:30
“אֵיכָה יִרְדֹּף אֶחָד אֶלֶף וּשְׁנַיִם יָנִיסוּ רְבָבָה אִם לֹא כִּי צוּרָם מְכָרָם וַיהוָה הִסְגִּירָם.”
“How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Unless their Rock had sold them, And YHVH had surrendered them?”
Abraham was part of the ‘surrender’ of his children to exile (Genesis 15:13), and he made himself look as if he wants them to stay in exile until their sins are cleansed.
The Holy One, Blessed be He said to Abraham, I know that everything you said is only external, and not from the sincerity of your heart, I will also tell you, ‘Do not keep them back!’, I want to please you for your sons, do not withhold Chassadim from them, do not withhold the good rewards from them. They suffered a lot for their sins, and for this reason, I say to the North to give the good rewards, and the South should not withhold the rewards which were held for them. This is the word of that announcer “O Zion, You who bring good tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good tidings,”
Lesson;
Abraham accepted the decree of Hashem that his children will go into a long exile. Abraham Knew that it would be for their cleansing process and make them a strong nation. Abraham is Chessed and he has the duty at the time of the Final Redemption to bring the rewards that is the Chassadim of Hashem to this world.
