Psalm 50:1
“מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף אֵל אֱ‍לֹהִים יְהוָה דִּבֶּר וַיִּקְרָא אָרֶץ מִמִּזְרַח שֶׁמֶשׁ עַד מְבֹאוֹ.”
“A Psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One (אֵל), God (אֱ‍לֹהִים), the LORD (יְהוָה), Has spoken and called the earth From the rising of the sun (East) to its going down.”
We have learned that Rabbi Yehuda said: “אֵל אֱלֹהִים יהוה” “El, Elohim, YHVH has spoken and called the earth.” “El, Elohim, YHVH” refers to the Sefirot Chessed, Gevurah, and Tiferet (as mentioned earlier, in section 156), which are the completeness of everything—the perfection of the holy patriarchs, who correspond to Chessed, Gevurah, and Tiferet.
“YHVH has spoken and called earth” means that He imparted influence to the earth, representing Malchut, for it to be found in the Congregation of Israel in completeness and joy. And from where does this influence come? The following verse continues (Psalm 50:2): “מִצִּיּוֹן מִכְלַל יֹפִי אֱלֹהִים הוֹפִיעַ.” “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God will shine forth.” meaning from the Yessod of Malchut, which is called Zion.

Notes:
The passage emphasizes that the influence on Malchut (earth) comes from the “Yessod of Malchut,” called Zion, a place of spiritual perfection and beauty. This connection between Yessod and Malchut ensures that the Congregation of Israel is sustained with joy and completeness. Thus, the teaching underscores the importance of the Light flow and connection in maintaining spiritual harmony and abundance in the world.

#175
We have learned that when the Holy One, blessed be He, wanted to create the lower world, He made it as a reflection of the upper world. He made Jerusalem the center of the entire earth and designated a specific place called Zion, which corresponds to the Sefira of Yessod. From this place, Zion, the world receives its Light and blessings. The construction of the world began from this place, and from there, it was built. As it is written, “El, Elohim, Hashem has spoken and called the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.” And from where did this begin? “מִצִּיּוֹן מִכְלַל יֹפִי” “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.” This means that God has appeared from Zion, which is the perfection of the world’s beauty. Come and see, Jerusalem, which represents Malchut, is blessed only through Zion, which represents Yessod. Zion is blessed from above, from Zeir Anpin, and everything is connected, as Zeir Anpin and Malchut, which are “one in one,” are united by Light and blessings from Zion.
Notes:
Zion is the point from which the entire world is built and blessed, and this blessing flows from Zeir Anpin above, representing the attributes of mercy and judgment. The union of Zeir Anpin and Malchut, facilitated by Zion, symbolizes the harmonious connection between the spiritual and physical realms, ensuring that the blessings flow from the upper levels into the lower, sustaining creation. This Zohar emphasizes the interconnectedness of all levels of existence, with Zion playing a crucial role as the intermediary that unites and channels blessings to the world.
