Holy Zohar text. Daily Zohar -4868

Zohar Acharei Mot
Continued from previous DZ
#359
And we have learned: When Adam descended into this world, he did so in the supernal, sacred form, and when the upper and lower beings beheld him, they drew near to him and appointed him as king over the entire world. Afterward, when the Snake came upon Eve and injected her with impurity, she later gave birth to Cain, and from that impurity, Cain emerged. From him descend all the generations of the wicked in the world, and from that same root came the abodes of demons and spirits, which trace to Cain and his corruption. As a result, all demons and spirits in the world are of mixed origin: Half comes from humanity below, and half from angels above. Because they were born partly from the impurity of the Snake, upon which the angel Sam–l rode, they are therefore partly of angelic origin. And the other half is human since they trace back to Cain, who was the offspring of Adam. Similarly, the other demons, born from Adam via the two female spirits (mentioned #358), are likewise hybrids—half human, half supernal.
Notes:
This profound passage from the Zohar describes the dual spiritual nature of certain entities, particularly demons and spirits, which are portrayed as Born of impurity, introduced by the Snake (נחש) into Eve, and connected to the angel Sam–l, a spiritual being associated with judgment and impurity. The Zohar makes a clear distinction between Adam’s initial holy stature—reflecting the Divine image—and the fall that followed due to the Snake’s intrusion. As the first offspring, Cain is depicted as having originated from that spiritual contamination.
As a result, both Cain’s lineage and the demonic spirits born from Adam’s later encounters with impure forces (symbolized by two female spirits) are hybrid creatures with Spiritual (angelic) and Physical (human) aspects.
This concept reflects a Kabbalistic understanding of spiritual contamination, impure birth, and hybrid existence, rooted in the fall from the original state of Adam.
