Tikkun 22 – 43
Genesis 2:1
“וַיְכֻלּוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהָאָרֶץ, וְכָל-צְבָאָם ”
“And the heaven and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. ”
The sixth Sefira, Yessod, connects us to the seventh Sefira, Malchut. This connection creates a bridge between heaven and earth.
The word וַיְכֻלּוּ and the verse in Genesis 2:1 reveal that connection. The two letters כל inside וַיְכֻלּוּ refer to Yessod as King David said in 1 Chronicle 29:11
“לְךָ יְהוָה הַגְּדֻלָּה וְהַגְּבוּרָה וְהַתִּפְאֶרֶת, וְהַנֵּצַח וְהַהוֹד, כִּי-כֹל, בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ: לְךָ יְהוָה הַמַּמְלָכָה, וְהַמִּתְנַשֵּׂא לְכֹל לְרֹאשׁ”
“To you, YHVH, is the greatness (Chessed), and the power (Gevurah), and the glory (Tiferet) , and the victory (Netzach), and the majesty (Hod); for ALL (כֹל=Yessod) that is (connection) in the heaven (Upper Sefirot) and in the earth (Lower level) is yours; For you, YHVH, the kingdom (Malchut), and all that are exalted as head above all.”
King David, who is the aspect of Malchut said those words before the building of the Holy Temple (the first). With that, he connected Yessod and Malchut to bring the revelation of the supernal light in the Holy Temple for the whole world. King David went through 70 years of wars and sufferings from inside and outside. He was always with the light and that is why he was chosen to reveal the Light in the world through his son, Solomon.
King David gathered donations of money and building materials from all the tribes for the building of the Holy Temple. He represented all Israelites in that event when he said In verse 14
“וְכִי מִי אֲנִי, וּמִי עַמִּי, כִּי-נַעְצֹר כֹּחַ, לְהִתְנַדֵּב כָּזֹאת: כִּי-מִמְּךָ הַכֹּל, וּמִיָּדְךָ נָתַנּוּ לָךְ”
“But who am I, and what are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of you and of your own have we given to you.”
That was the power of King David. He knew how to give back to the light in order to create flow. Stating “All comes from you and from your own we give to you” is a complete nullification of his ego, an act that gave birth to the great revelation of the light through the first Holy Temple for 400 years.
King David represents the ultimate restriction, humbleness and devotion for the light. He ‘took’ the ‘first bite’ of the Snake (Read Daily Zohar #504) so his son can channel the ‘water’, which was the actual building of the Temple. During King Solomon’s time the world was in complete peace.
The Zohar previously referenced “the act of hitting the rock twice by Moses”, as the process to bring light. The first hit was with judgment, for the Snake and the second one brought the water out of the rock so the whole nation would enjoy.
We don’t have such leaders any more. The only one in existence is the soul of Rabbi Shimon that we reveal through the study of the Holy Zohar. Spreading its light can help reduce the sufferings of the 70 levels of pain in the world until the coming of Mashiach and the Final Revelation of the Light in the world.
The title for this article is borrowed from 1 Samuel 16:12
It describes King David;
“And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of beautiful eyes, and goodly to look upon. ”
וַיִּשְׁלַח וַיְבִיאֵהוּ וְהוּא אַדְמוֹנִי, עִם-יְפֵה עֵינַיִם וְטוֹב רֹאִי;”
