Zohar Ha’azinu
#98
Rabbi Shimon open the special study about the unification of Zeir Anpin and Malchut and quotes Psalms 89:15
“צֶדֶק וּמִשְׁפָּט מְכוֹן כִּסְאֶךָ חֶסֶד וֶאֱמֶת יְקַדְּמוּ פָנֶיךָ.”
“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.”
Righteousness is Malchut and Justice is Zeir Anpin. A wise person would see the ways of the Holy One that they are laws of truth and comes from the higher Sefirot. The light that comes to all levels below, comes from the concealed of all that is ‘Atika’ (Ancient). Each of the levels reveals the light it receives from the upper levels in its own unique way. The light of each level shines into the other. They are connected and not separated from each other.
Lesson;
Rabbi Shimon demonstrates how to ‘dig’ light from the Bible verses. Like in every discussion in the Zohar, he starts with a verse from the Bible. Each verse and letter represent a ‘well’ of light. The discussion is like the act of drawing water from the well.
In #97 we read that Rabbi Shimon couldn’t reveal some secrets he reveled in his studies. Why not?
The answer is that the Torah is the code of Creation and everything can be found in it. Some secrets reveal Light that is not intended to be revealed at that specific time. If such a secret is revealed it must be corrected by the opposite force which is death. Rabbi Chaim Vital tells us that the Holy Ari revealed a secret not in its time and his son became ill and died. The Holy Ari himself and other great Kabbalists passed away at a young age because they were on a fast path to reveal secrets before their time.
One of the great secrets is the Holy name that the High priest was using during the Yom Kippur services. That name drew Light for the whole world for the following year. The miracle was that no one could remember and repeat the name heard from the mouth of the High priest. Any person that knows the name can use it to control nature.
The Torah study is above all other percepts because the Light of the Torah is the purest of all.
