Zohar Pinchas, Vol. 20 (English)/Vol 15 (Hebrew)
The world was created with the Hebrew letters, which are the building blocks of everything in the universe. Whatever under our noses or billion light years away, whatever we can name or measure is part of the Malchut level. The light of the Endless sustains everything through their names.
Genesis 1:1 “בְּרֵאשִׁית, בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים, אֵת”
“In the beginning God created the (אֵת)”
את are the first and last letters of the Hebrew Alef Bet. We learn that God first created the Hebrew letters. They were ‘agents’ of the Endless to create/form the physical world.
The fourth word of the Torah is אֵת and it represents the world of Action, ‘Asiah’, which is Malchut.
בְּרֵאשִׁית – In the Beginning, Atzilut (Emanation) – י – Y, Keter and Chokmah
בָּרָא – Created – Beriah (Creation), ה – H, Binah
אֱלֹהִים – God (ELHYM) – Yetzirah (Formation), ו – V, Zeir Anpin
אֵת – the (with, and)…, Asiah (Action), ה – H, Malchut
The above chart teaches us that the letters are part of the world of Action, Malchut.
In the third verse God uses the letters to reveal the Light in his creation. “And God said ‘let there be Light’..”
Kabbalah teaches us that the letters define all vessels in existence. Everything with a name is a vessel for the Endless Light. That includes the different names of God that we find in the Torah. יהוה, אלהים, שדי and all the others reveal different aspects of the Endless Light. They provide different forces that help us in correcting our souls that were shaped by our past actions.
Malachi 3:6 ” כִּי אֲנִי יְהוָה, לֹא שָׁנִיתִי”
” For I YHVH do not change”
The Light that is in the vessel is always the same but it is revealed and perceived according to the vessel itself.
Every part of our body has the Light in it. If we use it for positive actions and follow the precepts that the Torah teaches us, we purify our vessels. Negativity corrupts the image of God (Tree of Life) that is in us.
