Daily Zohar # 1803 – Kedoshim – Please don’t be a fool
Continued from previous DZ
The ‘Faithful Shepherd’, who is Moses, adds to the previous Zohar study and tells us that honoring mother and father has the same spiritual value as honoring the Shabbat.
“וְאִם-אָב אָנִי אַיֵּה כְבוֹדִי וְאִם-אֲדוֹנִים אָנִי אַיֵּה מוֹרָאִי ”
“Then if I am a father, where is My honor (כְבוֹדִי )? And if I am a master, where is My respect (מוֹרָאִי )?’”
The Father and Mother in this aspect are Zeir Anpin and Malchut. The word for ‘My Honor’, ‘כְבוֹדִי’ has the numerical value of 42. The Zohar explains that ‘honor’ is the Torah because we find 32 times the name ‘God’, ‘אלהים’ in the story of Creation that was done in 10 sayings “And God said let there be…’. There are 32 paths of wisdom that deliver the light of Chokmah (Father) to the world.
“כָּבוֹד, חֲכָמִים יִנְחָלוּ; וּכְסִילִים, מֵרִים קָלוֹן”
“The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace”
The wise connect to the ‘honor’ of the Torah. The fools are those who are far from the Torah.
