Daily Zohar # 2116 – Kedoshim – The Light of ‘honor’
“גּוֹזֵל, אָבִיו וְאִמּוֹ–וְאֹמֵר אֵין-פָּשַׁע: חָבֵר הוּא, לְאִישׁ מַשְׁחִית”
“He who robs his father or his mother And says, “It is not a transgression,” Is the companion of a man who destroys”
The Zohar explains that the ‘Father’ is the Holy One Blessed be He, represented by Zeir Anpin, and the ‘Mother’ is the Shechina in Malchut.
The ‘Honor’ is the Light of Chokmah coming from the father. Chokmah and Binah together serve the Endless Light in delivering the Light to the lower levels.
Chokmah is revealed only when its Light is returning from the lower level on the way up through the Sefirot. For that reason, the lower one should ‘honor’ those above him, meaning continuing the Light of Chokmah in its revelation process through the Sefirot going upward.
Malchut gives honor to Zeir Anpin and Binah, mother, gives honor to Chokmah, father.
A woman who doesn’t ‘respect’ her husband, blocks the Light from being revealed in their lives. It’s always good to find something to ‘respect’ and create a better connection so the higher Light would come to better their lives.
The same is true with spiritual connections. One can not pray to reveal Light in his life without respecting and following the process with proper consciousness. Even with blessing the food one should understand and respect the process of the blessings in order to have his vessel reveal the Light of Chokmah.
