Zohar Balak

#305
The Zohar reveals the secret of the donkey’s mouth to the friends. The donkey’s mouth, ‘פִּי הָאָתוֹן,’ was created at the twilight time of Shabbat’s eve, but it was not opened since that time. Also, the Holy One Blessed be He did not make a condition to open the Donkey’s mouth when it is needed. Hashem gave the secret to the wise that is not foolish at heart. The Donkey’s mouth is one of the higher power levels that rules the female donkeys because there is nothing below that doesn’t have an appointed angel from above.
When the Holy One Blessed be He created the level called Donkey’s mouth, he closed it in a hole of the great abyss. When the time came, he opened the hole and let the donkey’s mouth go out, connect to Balaam’s donkey and speak.

#306
“and the earth opened its mouth (פִּי הָאָרֶץ)” (Numbers 16:32), refers to the angel Dumah that is called ‘פִּי הָאָרֶץ’ “the earth’s mouth.” The Donkey’s mouth also, with the angel Kamriel. Similarly is ‘פִּי הַבְּאֵר’ ‘the mouth of the well’ that is the level that had the angel Yehadriel appointed on it from below. A level that is under the mouth of YHVH ‘פי יהוה’.
The three mouths of the earth, well, and donkey were created on the eve of Shabbat at twilight because when the day was sanctified, the mouth that is appointed about all other mouths ascended. It is the mouth of Hashem that is Malchut. At the twilight of Shabbat eve, all other mouths were created, meaning all the angels that rule their branches in this world, which are the forces of the weekdays.
When the day was sanctified, the mouth of Hashem that rules over all other forces ascended.

Lesson;
The mouth is the aspect of Malchut because it expresses or manifests the inner voice, coming from Zeir Anpin, which is also in the heart. Our words come with a strong force of intention. It vibrates in the world, weak or strong, but it definitely impacts the world around us, even if we are alone and no one listens.
The answer is yes to the philosophical question ‘If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?’. The sound is a vibration in this world, Malchut and it manifests and impacts the environment, even if there is no one around.
Every sound and every word is driven by and attached to an angel. It is the force that works for us during the weekdays.
We do not work during Shabbat to avoid ‘employing’ the angels. For that reason, great Tzadikim won’t even speak on Shabbat, except for the prayers and studies that connect them to the mouth of Hashem.
To ‘train’ our mouth to produce powerful and positive angels, we avoid all kinds of negative words, gossip, and unnecessary speech.
The Zohar and the sages give us many lessons about the power of the mouth. The best advice is to think before speaking. If whatever we want to say doesn’t add value to others, then we say nothing. If our words are about our ego, then we definitely hold it.
