Leviticus 23:11
“He shall lift up the sheaf(Omer, עֹמֶר ) before YHVH, to be accepted on your behalf; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.”

This mitzvah of bringing the Omer as an offering is all about devotion between above and below, meaning Malchut and her sons, the children of Israel that walk together. This offering is to correct and establish a connection between the supernal Malchut, and Israel below. The Omer brought by Israel in their state of purity consists of barley. It is done to bring love between a woman and her husband because the Omer makes the Light of Chokmah illuminate from below to above. This is the secret of “Lift up” the Omer that connects Malchut, a woman, with Zeir Anpin, her husband.

The Zohar makes a parallel connection to the process of the unfaithful women described in the portion of Naso (Numbers 5). The unfaithful woman was brought by her husband to the priest for a process that reveals if she was faithful to him or not. If she is pure she is blessed and if not, she suffers and curses among her people.
The Zohar mentions a promiscuous woman that is the Klipa from the side of the Snake. She is opposite the woman of valor that is Israel. The promiscuous woman of the other side distances herself from Israel when they bring the offering of barley because it would awaken judgment upon her if she gets close to the priest.
Because of her purity, the woman of valor brings herself closer to the high priest that is Zeir Anpin and accepts his light to illuminate from below to above. With that, she adds love and strength to her husband, Zeir Anpin as it says;
Numbers 5:28
“But if the woman has not defiled herself, and is clean, then she shall be free and may conceive children.”

Numbers 5:27
“When he has made her drink the water, then it shall be, if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband, that the water that brings a curse will enter her and become bitter, and her belly will swell, her thigh will rot, and the woman will become a curse among her people.”
The promiscuous woman is afraid to come close to the Holy Temple because her impurity would bring a curse on her and destroy her. Because of that, she runs away, and Israel remains pure, without mixing with the promiscuous woman.
