Zohar Shelach Lecha
Continued from previous DZ
Rabbi Shimon was happy for the return of that man that said to him, Ah, Rabbi, On all Rosh Chodesh, Shabbats, Holidays, and special days, the males ascend to be seen before the Holy King, males and not females, as it says in Exodus 34:23
“Three times in the year all your men shall appear before the Lord, YHVH God of Israel.”
And when they came back, they shared new things with the head of the Yeshiva.

On this day new things were shared with the head of the Yeshiva. It was about ancient secrets, righteous prosper, righteous suffer, before they come into the world, all souls go on the scales of the Tree, which is Malchut, and they receive in this world according to the weight shown on the scales.
The head of the Yeshiva came down with what he heard above. He revealed one thing and nothing more. The ‘Tree’ that does not show his light is beaten and illuminated. A body, in which the light of the soul does not show its light, is beaten and the light of the soul illuminates, then the body and soul unite and hold to each other to illuminate.

Rabbi Shimon could communicate with the upper levels and receive secrets through messengers. Our studies and purity are the tools that would help us connect higher. Our ‘messengers’ may not be on the same levels as the ones coming to Rabbi Shimon, but they are around us. They can come in our thoughts, or through other people in our environments.

Beating the soul and body to illuminate is a spiritual process (ביטוש, pronounced ‘Bitush’) that adjusts the vessel to fit the Light it receives. This is to explain receiving according to the “weight on the scale”.
