Zohar Balak
Continued from previous DZ
#354
It is written in Psalm 5:4
“יְהוָה בֹּקֶר תִּשְׁמַע קוֹלִי בֹּקֶר אֶעֱרָךְ לְךָ וַאֲצַפֶּה.”
YHVH morning, you will hear my voice; morning, I will prepare for you and watch.”
The translation of the above verse is literal and may seem incoherent. Common translations are wrong because they change the words to make sense from irregular Hebrew expressions. By doing so, they take away from the deeper understanding of the text.
“My voice You shall hear in the morning, O YHVH; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.”
The verse does not say, “Hashem will hear my voice, but “Morning will hear my voice” because it refers to the morning of Abraham.
He asks why “morning” is mentioned twice and answers that the first is for Abraham and the second is for Joseph.
Genesis 44:3
“הַבֹּקֶר אוֹר וְהָאֲנָשִׁים שֻׁלְּחוּ הֵמָּה וַחֲמֹרֵיהֶם.”
“The morning light and the men were sent away, they and their donkeys.”
“The morning light” is Joseph that illuminates. The difference is that the morning of Abraham is Chessed, covered with Chokmah, and the morning of Joseph is Chessed, revealed with the Light of Chokmah.
“I will prepare for you ” is David preparing Malchut (Candle) for the Light of Chokmah coming from Joseph (Yessod).
Psalm 132:17
“שָׁם אַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן לְדָוִד עָרַכְתִּי נֵר לִמְשִׁיחִי.”
“There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a candle for My Anointed.”

#355
He asks, what is “and I will watch (expect, אֲצַפֶּה) ” when all the people of the world expect and wait for the grace (Chessed) of the Holy One Blessed be He, even the beasts of the field.
He asks, what makes the praise of David more than all the people of the world. He answers, I asked about it above, and they told me; it is the truth that comes from far, which is the secret of Chokmah, as it is written;
Ecclesiastes 7:23
“כָּל זֹה נִסִּיתִי בַחָכְמָה אָמַרְתִּי אֶחְכָּמָה וְהִיא רְחוֹקָה מִמֶּנִּי.”
“All this I have proved by wisdom (Chokmah). I said, “I will be wise”; But it was far from me.”
The first light that the Holy One Blessed be He created was too strong, and the worlds could not endure it. So He made the Light go down from one level to another. Each of the levels was enclothed by the light from the level above it until all the worlds could stand in their existence and endure the Light they received from the levels above them.
