#68
Exodus 38:24
“All the gold that was used in all the work of the holy place, that is, the gold of the offering, was twenty-nine talents and seven hundred and thirty shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary.”
He asks, what is “All gold used for the work,” and explains this is where the Holy One Blessed be He looked when Israel gave gold to make the Golden Calf. Hashem asked for gold offerings to the Holy Tabernacle before they gave gold to make the Golden Calf. It was done as a remedy for the future because they donated all the gold with them to the Holy Tabernacle.
When it came to the Golden Calf, they did not have gold except for their earrings, as it is written.
Exodus 32:3
“So all the people broke off the golden earrings which were in their ears and brought them to Aaron.”

Exodus 38:22, 23
“Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that YHVH had commanded Moses.”
“And with him was Oholiav, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and designer, a weaver of blue, purple, scarlet thread, and fine linen.”

From the aspect of Malchut, Bezalel did everything that Hashem commanded Moses. Because all the art of the Holy Tabernacle was installed in them and done by them. Bezalel did the work, and Moses then installed everything; Moses and Bezalel were both as one, Moses above as Tiferet, and Bezalel below him as Yessod at the end of the body, because Yessod and Tiferet are connected as one.

Bezalel was the aspect of Right, Chessed, and Oholiav was the aspect of Left, Gevura, and all were included in each other. Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur from the tribe of Yehuda, Right, and Oholiav, son of Ahisamach from the tribe of Dan, Left.

Lesson;
Giving their gold first to the Holy Tabernacle kept them connected to the holiness of the Tabernacle and saved them from harsh judgment when they participated in the making of the Golden Calf.
It is a lesson for us to support channels of Light to protect us from judgments even when we fall off the righteous path. Never choose to ‘sin’ and pay with good deeds before or after the action.
