Zohar Emor

Continued from previous DZ
#250
After arriving at “אחת ואחת” “One and One”, which is the mother of all, that is Binah, he begins to count from here, from Binah, while adding, and counts and says, “One and two”, meaning that he connects Binah with two, which are Chessed and Gevurah. “One and three”, which connects Binah with Chessed, Gevurah, and Tiferet. “One of the four”, which connects Binah with the previous three, adding Tiferet. “One past five”, which connects the previous four, and Netzach. “One and six”, which connects Binah with the previous, adding Yessod. “One and seven”, which connects Binagh with all the seven sefirot to connect Binah with the Keter of Malchut. This process, draws the Light from Binah, the supernal mother, to the lower mother, which is the Malchut.
Since the two Lights of the Upper Mother, Binah, and the Lower Mother, Malchut, illuminate on this day, it is called in a plural form, Yom Hakipurim.

Rabbi Yitzchak said that one chain was a chain tied to the feet of the priest when he entered the Holy of Holies, that if he died there they would pull him outside. Because it was forbidden to enter into that holy place. How did they know if he was alive or not? It was known from the scarlet thread (לשון של זהורית) which was connected to the priest when he was inside the Holy of Holies. If the color of the thread turned white, a joy spread among the uppers and the lowers. If not, everyone was in sorrow, and they knew that their prayers were not accepted.
