#310
All the prophets that the Holy One, Blessed be He, raised for Israel, He revealed to them in the holy levels above, and they saw the radiation of the honor of the King from a high place, but not as close as Moses, who was closer to the King more than all of them. Moses’s level was higher than all the people of the world, on which it is written;
Numbers 12:8
“פֶּה אֶל פֶּה אֲדַבֶּר בּוֹ וּמַרְאֶה וְלֹא בְחִידֹת וּתְמֻנַת יְהוָה יַבִּיט וּמַדּוּעַ לֹא יְרֵאתֶם לְדַבֵּר בְּעַבְדִּי בְמֹשֶׁה.”
“I speak with him face to face, Even plainly, and not in dark sayings, And he sees the form of YHVH. Why then were you not afraid To speak against My servant Moses?”
The other prophets would see from a far place, as it is written;
Jeremiah 31:2
“מֵרָחוֹק יְהוָה נִרְאָה לִי וְאַהֲבַת עוֹלָם אֲהַבְתִּיךְ עַל כֵּן מְשַׁכְתִּיךְ חָסֶד.”
“YHVH appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued my faithfulness (Chessed) to you.”

Rabbi Hezekiah said, this is how I learned from;
Exodus 2:1
“וַיֵּלֶךְ אִישׁ מִבֵּית לֵוִי וַיִּקַּח אֶת בַּת לֵוִי.”
“And a man (אִישׁ) of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi.”
“And a man went”, this is the Holy One, Zeir Anpin, as it is said;
Exodus 15:3
“יְהוָה אִישׁ מִלְחָמָה יְהוָה שְׁמוֹ.”
“YHVH is a man (אִישׁ) of war; YHVH is His name.”
“From the house of Levi,” this is the Holy One, Blessed be He, where the supreme Chokmah and Binah connect and never separate.
“Levi” implies “Devotion” and “adherence” Also, “Levi,” לויה,” from the language of devotion.
Another interpretation, “from the house of Levi,” that the Leviathan, which is the aspect of Yessod of Zeir Anpin that spreads joy in the world. Also, Leviathan;
Psalm 104:26
“שָׁם אֳנִיּוֹת יְהַלֵּכוּן לִוְיָתָן זֶה יָצַרְתָּ לְשַׂחֶק בּוֹ.”
“There the ships sail about; There is that Leviathan You have made to play there.”
“And he took the daughter of Levi,” this is the Holy One, Blessed be He, in the aspect of Malchut, when the Light of the Moon shines.
Lesson;
This verse shows that Zeir Anpin connects to Malchut to bring down the supreme Lights from Chokmah and Binah.
The “Man” (אִישׁ) in the verse is Amram, Moses’s father. In paragraph #310, the Zohar describes Moses’s uniqueness and closeness to Hashem. In #31, the Zohar connects us to his roots.
Amram was married to Yocheved (Daughter of Levi), his aunt (sister of Kehat, his father). After having Miriam and Aharon, Amram divorced Yocheved because of Pharaoh’s decree to kill all the boys. Miriam, his daughter, was a prophet, and she encouraged him to trust Hashem and remarry Yocheved, who was 130 years old then. Moses was born to be the redeemer of Israel.
Moses was a reincarnation of Abel, Adam’s son that was killed by his brother Cain. Adam was separated from his wife, Eve, after the sin for 130 years before rejoining her to bring Seth שת to the world at the age of 130 (Genesis 5:3).
Hashem reveals great light from the unexpected.
The story of the birth of Moses is about revealing the Light of Father and Mother, Chokmah, and Binah in Malchut. That is why Moses was at the level of Da’at.
Friday would be a good day to make a ** Donation, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, which is an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honor of Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
