Daily Zohar # 4355 – Beresheet – What is above the cause of causes
Daily Zohar 4355

Zohar Beresheet

#167
The Light that the Holy One, blessed be He, created on the first day, He set aside for the righteous. This was the highest level of Light that man could see from the beginning to the end of the world without limitation of distance or time. Also, darkness was created on the first day for the wicked, as it is said;
1 Samuel 2:9
“He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. “For by strength, no man shall prevail.”
Because of that darkness, man would sin, so Father did not want to participate in its creation. And that is why he said, “Let us make man in our image,” meaning the same Light, and then “after our likeness,” the darkness, which dresses the Light, as a body is a dress for the soul. It is written;
Job 10:11
“Clothe me with skin and flesh, And knit me together with bones and sinews?”
All the friends rejoiced and said, We are blessed for the privilege to hear things that had not been heard until now.

Deuteronomy 32:39
“‘Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.”
Rabbi Shimon quotes this verse and says to his friends, I was given permission from above to reveal ancient things that I wanted to reveal before and could not. Who said, “Now see that I, even I, am He”? This is the cause of all causes above all the supreme levels. It is the cause of causes because there is still a cause above the cause of causes. Nothing is done below until permission is given from the one above it, as explained in “Let us make man …”
Lesson;
Each spiritual level from above receives from the one above it. The cause of causes is referred to as Atik of the world of Atzilut. The cause of all causes refers to Adam Kadmon, the “cause” of the worlds of Atzilut, Beriah, Yetzirah, and Asiya.
