Tikkun 22 – 50
Song of Songs 8:6
“כִּי-עַזָּה כַמָּוֶת אַהֲבָה, קָשָׁה כִשְׁאוֹל קִנְאָה:”
“…for love is strong as death, jealousy is hard as hell”
The Zohar brings another explanation to this verse. If the Israelites will awaken to the love that comes from the upper levels of Chokmah and Binah, יה, the Holy One Bless be He, will come down to take revenge of Amalek.
Amalek, עמלק, represents the forces of the negative side in this world. It has the numerical value of 240 and it is equal to the word ‘doubt’, ספק. Doubt is the main tool of the negativity and it uses it to disconnect us from the יה, which is Chokmah and Binah, Father and Mother.
It started with the Snake in the Garden of Eden that injected doubts in the minds of Eve and Adam. Once they had the doubts they lost the connection to the supernal Father and Mother, יה, and made the sin that brought mortality to their life and the whole world.
Man is איש and woman is אשה, the common letters are אש, which means fire. The other letters are יה. The fire represent the judgments that each of us have. The man gets the letter Yod, י, for the ability to connect to the light and the woman gets the letter Heh, ה, to give her connection to the Shechina.
When they come together with the holiness of marriage (Kidushin) they join the Yod and the Heh of the supernal Father and Mother and the Shechina comes to dwell among them.
When they have doubts in their life, a disconnection from the light takes place and they lose the bond that comes with the presence of the light in their life.
After the sin, Adam was separated from Eve for 130 years in order to build the connection of love again. 13 is love, אהבה and multiplied by 10 for the 10 Sefirot gives 130.
The YH, יה, represents Awe and unconditional love that are the keys to build certainty and connection with the light.
