Daily Zohar – Tikunim – #294 – Your fulfillment is in the question.
Tikkun 21 – 35
Deuteronomy 32:7 “שְׁאַל אָבִיךָ וְיַגֵּדְךָ” “Ask your father and he will tell you..”
A question is שאלה and answer is תשובה.
Isaiah 7:11 “שְׁאַל-לְךָ אוֹת, מֵעִם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ; הַעְמֵק שְׁאָלָה, אוֹ הַגְבֵּהַּ לְמָעְלָה”
“Ask for a letter from YHVH, your God, ask in depth or elevate above”
The letter is the letter H ה that connects Malchut and Binah.
The mouth is the aspect of Malchut of the Head.
Top of the skull is Keter, Eyes are Chokmah, Earsare Binah, Nose is Zeir Anpin, Mouth is Malchut.
The tongue is Yessod of Malchut and it is the channel to reveal the thoughts in Malchut.
When we pray we ask God for ‘something’. The word for it is “שאלה”. This root verb is שאל, meaning to ask and to seek. The letter ה is added to transform the verb into female form and to reveal the hidden purpose of the question. When we ask for ‘something’ we always seek the light of Binah represented by the letter H ה from the YHVH name. In all our actions we seek the light, not the matter.
Matter belongs to the world of Malchut and it is ‘temporary’. Its value is also temporary. We value the things that we worked for where we have the earning process.
The word for answer is תשובה, meaning returning and again as with the word for question ,שאלה we have the root תשוב and the letter ה.
When we pray, we elevate the ה of Malchut and seek the ה of Binah. It is the source of the supernal light that flows to the world.
