Zohar Vayikra

The Hebrew letters are the only true and original forms of letters in human history. The ancient hieroglyphs and eastern languages use letters that describe objects and expressions. The Hebrew letters have a unique shape with meaning to every part of the letter. They are vessels of Light (Chokmah and Binah) that are expressed as sound (Zeir Anpin) and come out as words (Malchut). The Latin letters are a shadow copy of the Hebrew letters and they are also named after the ‘Father’ אב that are the first two Hebrew letters, Aleph and Bet. That is why the letters of the other languages are called ‘Alphabet’.
I described the Latin letters as ‘shadow’ copy because shadows have no substance and no light. They do have power in the sound and the consciousness that produce it but the letters have no significant value when it comes to sacred and spiritual connections.

The previous DZ was initially published without commentary. It was broadcasted to all subscribers and within minutes I received few ‘complaints’ about the missing English commentary, as if there is no value to the Zohar text and the attached audio recording of it.

The Zohar of Vayikra includes many names of angels describing their forces, responsibilities and energies that benefit the world. I am not going into explaining the details because I’m afraid some may jump into idol worshiping. There is a tendency among students of Kabbalah to ‘utilize’ every ‘tool’ that they can connect to for personal and material benefits. They adopt names and expect their full force to manifest in their lives. This is wrong and in most cases it goes against the teaching of Kabbalah. A great industry was developed and commercialized the 72 names and other sacred names from the sacred text. I saw people with permanent tattoos of names on their bodies. It is very wrong and should not be done because it can bring only judgment and negativity (Leviticus 19:28, 21:5).

Wearing names made as jewelry for healing, sustenance, love or others is beneficial only for those who make profit from it. Every material thing manufactured in this world holds the consciousness of its designer, producer and all of those who are involved in the process of delivering it to the end user.
The Torah scroll must be written by hand and by a skilled and righteous scribe. No machine or mechanical device is used in the process. The pen and ink are specially made out of natural materials.

We should look and study the sacred text of the Zohar to ‘dig out’ the well of life that is concealed in it. Giving time for reading and scanning the Hebrew words is on the highest level possible. We should submit ourselves to the ‘trip’, and walk the path of Light through the scanning of the letters.
Every line in the Torah scroll is called שטה, (pronounced ‘shitah’, no translation available). The numerical value is 314, which is the same value for שדי, the Holy name that is on the Mezuzah and provides first level of protection from negativity in this world. It is also for the name of the archangel Metatron. He is the one that carries our prayers from the lower to the upper world. He controls the ‘bridge’ between heaven and earth.

The same aspect of ‘שטה’ goes for the Zohar because there is a great light, concealed in every word. The consciousness that it carries is of Rabbi Shimon, Moses and Elijah, as well as the other nine great souls that studied with Rabbi Shimon in most parts of the Zohar. In many parts of the Zohar we have extra support of other souls from heavens.

The plural for שטה is שטים with numerical value that is equal to the word שטן, Satan. This means that the antidote against Satan is the study of Torah through the Zohar. Another famous parallel is משיח Mashiach and נחש Snake. They both have the same numerical value of 358. When Mashiach comes he will remove the Snake from existence, leaving us with a pure world and without any negative influence.

God gave us his name יהוה YHVH in the Torah but at the same time prohibited us from pronouncing it. When we make a blessing using this name we actually pronounce a different name represented with different letters. The YHVH name in the Torah is just for eye connection. It teaches us that the highest connection is when we scan the sacred text. The study in other languages help us in building a good consciousness and elevates the power of the scanning. It can never be replaced with the connection to the Hebrew text.
Even if you read the commentaries on the Daily Zohar, always remember to read or scan the text.

At the end of the day, the spiritual energy comes mainly through the letters and each one of them is a vessel of light.
