Daily Zohar 3303
103. כַּשֶּׁמֶן הַטּוֹב עַל הָרֹאשׁ. מִי שֶׁמֶן הַטּוֹב? זֶה שֶׁמֶן מִשְׁחַת קֹדֶשׁ שֶׁשּׁוֹפֵעַ וְיוֹצֵא מֵהָעַתִּיק הַקָּדוֹשׁ שֶׁנִּמְצָא בְּאוֹתוֹ נָהָר עֶלְיוֹן, שֶׁמֵּינִיק אֶת הַבָּנִים לְהַדְלִיק מְנוֹרוֹת, וְאוֹתוֹ שֶׁמֶן שׁוֹפֵעַ עַל רֹאשׁ הַמֶּלֶךְ, וּמֵרֹאשׁוֹ לַכָּבוֹד שֶׁל הַזָּקָן הַקָּדוֹשׁ, וּמִשָּׁם שׁוֹפֵעַ לְכָל אוֹתָם לְבוּשֵׁי כָבוֹד שֶׁהַמֶּלֶךְ מִתְלַבֵּשׁ בָּהֶם. זֶהוּ שֶׁכָּתוּב שֶׁיּוֹרֵד עַל פִּי מִדּוֹתָיו. עַל פִּי מִדּוֹתָיו מַמָּשׁ, וְאֵלּוּ הֵם כִּתְרֵי הַמֶּלֶךְ שֶׁהַשֵּׁם הַקָּדוֹשׁ נִמְצָא בָהֶם.
The Shechinah is the female aspect of the Holy One Blessed be He. She is in Exile in Malchut and separated from her ‘husband’, the Holy One that is Zeir Anpin and is far on a higher level.
The Holy One cannot be called ‘One’ when the Shechinah is away from him but at the time of the Redemption, YHVH will come down to reign over his kingdom, Malchut. As we read in Obadiah 1:21
“וְעָלוּ מוֹשִׁעִים בְּהַר צִיּוֹן לִשְׁפֹּט אֶת הַר עֵשָׂו וְהָיְתָה לַיהוָה הַמְּלוּכָה.”
“Then saviors shall come to Mount Zion To judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be YHVH’s.”
When YHVH comes down during the Redemption process, he will join the Shechina, unifying upper and lower. Then YHVH will be ‘one’ with the Shechina.
“וְהָיָה יְהוָה לְמֶלֶךְ עַל כָּל הָאָרֶץ בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא יִהְיֶה יְהוָה אֶחָד וּשְׁמוֹ אֶחָד.”
“And YHVH shall be King over all the earth. On that day it shall be— “YHVH is one,” And His name one.”
“כַּשֶּׁמֶן הַטּוֹב עַל הָרֹאשׁ יֹרֵד עַל הַזָּקָן זְקַן אַהֲרֹן שֶׁיֹּרֵד עַל פִּי מִדּוֹתָיו”
“It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.”
The ‘precious oil’ is the anointing oil that comes from Keter. It ‘pours’ on the head of the King and from there it comes down to the Holy beard and down to the garments of the King.
The words ‘עַל פִּי מִדּוֹתָיו’ translates to ‘according to his ‘measures’ or attributes’ that are references to the Sefirot that reveals the Light from the upper levels.
The translation to ‘his garments’ is also correct because like people in Malchut, our attributes define us like garments.
The ‘oil’ is the Light that spreads from Keter all the way down to Zeir Anpin and is revealed in Malchut.
The verse Psalms 133:2 is good for meditation when we wish to draw the light of Chokmah from the higher level. It would be better to do a study and light a candle for a Tzadik and or give a few coins for Tzedakah.
As we studied previously, ‘oneness’ is a state when a male and a female are together. Look at it as Light, male and vessel, female. We need to always prepare a vessel to draw light and have a blessed unification of ‘one’.
Our desire for Mashiach should create a huge vessel in order to have this light revealed in the world. God is helping us achieve this goal by putting us in a situation of knowing that only he can truly save us. Even if we find a cure or vaccine, it’s only temporary because the next one could be more difficult.
Mashiach would come from Keter with the soul level of Yechidah that is the only level that connects directly to Keter. This where Mashiach would draw his endless force to be a king over the whole earth.
“שָׁם אַצְמִיחַ קֶרֶן לְדָוִד עָרַכְתִּי נֵר לִמְשִׁיחִי.”
“There I will make the horn of David grow; I will prepare a candle for My Anointed.”
When Mashiach is revealed, the Mount of Olive (Oil) in Jerusalem will split (Zechariah 14:4) and the higher Light will come out and change existence as we know it.
