#133
We learned on this day how many gates are open for Israel to receive their prayers. Fortunate is the portion of Israel that the Holy One, blessed be He, desires to give them merits and purify them. This comes from reading;
Leviticus 16:30
“כִּי בַיּוֹם הַזֶּה יְכַפֵּר עֲלֵיכֶם לְטַהֵר אֶתְכֶם מִכֹּל חַטֹּאתֵיכֶם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה תִּטְהָרוּ.”
“For on that day, the priest shall make atonement for you, to cleanse you, that you may be clean from all your sins before the YHVH.”
On this sacred day, the priest is adorned with many crowns, symbolizing the weight and significance of his service. His role on this day is not just precious, but it surpasses all other services. It is a day when everyone is given a part in the sacrifices of the Holy One, blessed be He, as previously mentioned in #118. On this day, the world is adorned with Chessed through the priest, who offers sacrifices for the sins of the people. First, he offers for his own sins and then for the sins of the people. And he offers burnt offerings for himself and for the people. These matters have already been explained.

This Mitzvah is that the High Priest must perform the service of that day as required and send the goat to Azazel. This secret is that the Sitra Achra (Other Side) is separated from the holy people and does not bring their sins before the Holy King, nor does it accuse them, because it has power and governance only when anger is strengthened from above. And with this gift of the goat for Azazel, it is subsequently transformed into their protector, and thus, it is repelled from before the King. And indeed, we have explained that this is because it represents “קֵץ כָּל בָּשָׂר” “the end of all flesh”, who is the Sat-n (Genesis 6:13).
