Zohar Emor

Continued from previous DZ
#111
When a son comes to his parents’ house he can eat and drink whenever he wants.
When the King invites his son’s friend he doesn’t need to invite his son that can come and go as he pleases.
Shabbat is like the son that can go to his parents, Father (Chokmah), and Mother (Binah) without invitation.
The holidays are the son’s friends and they need an invitation to receive from Father and Mother.

#112
Exodus 35:2
“שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים תֵּעָשֶׂה מְלָאכָה וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי יִהְיֶה לָכֶם קֹדֶשׁ שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּתוֹן לַיהוָה כָּל הָעֹשֶׂה בוֹ מְלָאכָה יוּמָת.”
“Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of rest to YHVH. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.”

Rabbi Yossei says that in Exodus 31:17 we read “Six days YHVH made heaven and earth”. It doesn’t say “In six days” (as wrongly translated into other languages) to tell us that each day made its actions. These days are the secret of the Six Sefirot of Zeir Anpin. They represent the process of bringing the Light from the upper three Sefirot to Malchut. Malchut is the seventh and the final step that receives the Light from all the upper levels.

YHVH activated the Sefirot of Chessed (day one), Gevurah (Second day), Tiferet (Third day), Netzach (Fourth day), Hod (Fifth day), and Yessod (Sixth day) to create heaven and earth.

#113
Rabbi Yitzchak asks why the holy sefirot of Zeir Anpin are called workdays (ימי חול). Rabbi Yossei says that the world below is governed by their messengers, which are the six sefirot of the angel Metat-. For that reason, they are called weekdays.

Lesson;
The ‘work’ aspect in our lives is the process that builds and defines the vessel, which is our ability to receive and hold the Light. At the end of the process, which is when the light comes into the vessel we experience the Holy.
When we work on our plans, it is a process of building a vessel. It is not easy but when we are done and can rest, we feel a great pleasure that is the aspect of receiving the ‘rewards’ of earning the Light into our vessels. That is why we should never give up or give in on our plans that result in a positive outcome.
