Zohar Ha’azinu

#230
Rabbi Chiya says that he was occupied with a specific study and while walking his way, he heard a voice, giving him a clue related to the meaning of his study but he forgot it. He didn’t recognize the voice nor who said it to him. He was sick for seven days because of it. Now he goes to Rabbi Shimon and hopes that he will help him remember.

#231
Rabbi Elazar says in the name of his father that Israel says that since the day they fell into exile, the Holy One Blessed be He forgot them

Isaiah 49:14
“And she (The Shechina) said; Zion has forsaken me, “YHVH And my God (ADNY) has forgotten me.”
In the verse that follows, the Shechina replies;
“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.”

Israel is the children of the Shechina and even if they forget her, she and the Holy One Blessed be He, will never forget them.

Lesson;
The word for ‘male’ in Hebrew is ‘זכר’, is also the root for ‘זכירה’ ‘remembering’. We are in Malchut that is darkness and forgetfulness. Light is ‘male’ energy, and as we get closer to the Light we improve our memory. Rabbi Chiya wanted to visit Rabbi Shimon and connect to his great light to remember the study he was told by an unknown voice.
It is known that great Tzadikim have an amazing memory. The Gaon of Vilna was known with unparalleled memory. There is a great Tzadik in Israel that know all the Torah Talmud, Zohar, the Holy Ari, and most known commentary books by heart. He is only 32 years old, very humble, and when he comes to teach, he doesn’t prepare for a lecture. Many great rabbis come to his studies. A person can ask a random question and he can give a two hours discourse on all aspects of the subject with exact references from many sources without opening books. He is a holy man and is called the Yenuka, as the name of the special child from the Zohar.
For a Hebrew page about him, see here: https://www.hamichlol.org.il/%D7%94%D7%A8%D7%91_%D7%A9%D7%9C%D7%9E%D7%94_%D7%99%D7%94%D7%95%D7%93%D7%94_%D7%91%D7%90%D7%A8%D7%99
For those who understand Hebrew, they can find some lectures on YouTube by searching on ‘הינוקא’ or ‘הרב שלמה יהודה בארי’.
Improve your memory by connecting to the Shchina with your Torah and Zohar studies and you won’t forget that are never forgotten.
