#260
Rabbi Yehuda opened,
Numbers 21:1
“The king of Arad, the Canaanite, who dwelt in the South, heard that Israel was coming on the road to Atharim. Then he fought against Israel and took some of them prisoners.”
We have learned that three supernal gifts were made given to Israel through three siblings, Moses, Aaron, and Miriam: the manna, in the merit of Moses; the Clouds of Glory, in the merit of Aaron; and the well, in the merit of Miriam, and all are connected above. The manna, in the merit of Moses, as it is written,
Exodus 16:4
“Then YHVH said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you.”
Moses is the chariot for Zeir Anpin, which is called Moses and is called “שָּׁמָיִם” heaven.
The Clouds of Glory were in the merit of Aaron, who is the chariot for Chessed (Kindness), as it is written,
Numbers 14:14
“and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, YHVH, are among these people; You, YHVH, are seen face to face, and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.”
And also,
Leviticus 16:13
“And he shall put the incense on the fire before YHVH, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat on the Testimony, lest he die.”
Just as in the case of the incense, where there were seven clouds linked together, so too, “Your cloud stands over them” refers to seven clouds because, in the case of the incense, the seven clouds were interconnected. Aaron is the head of all seven clouds because the seven clouds correspond to the sefirot of Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, Yessod, and Malchut. Aaron, who is the chariot for Chessed, is the first sefirah among them. He is linked with the six other clouds, Sefirot, every day. Therefore, by the merit of Aaron, the clouds are considered the aspect of Chessed, the head of the clouds, and encompass them.

#261
The well was in the merit of Miriam. Miriam was the chariot for Malchut, as she is indeed called a well. In the Book of Legends, we learn,
Exodus 2:4
“And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.”
This verse refers to the well of living water, namely Malchut. It is all one connection, for Miriam was tied to Malchut. When Miriam died, the well was withdrawn, as it is written,
Numbers 20:2
“Now there was no water for the congregation, so they gathered together against Moses and Aaron.”
At that moment, another well, Malchut, present with Israel, wished to withdraw. However, when it saw the six clouds, which are Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, and Yessod, tied to the cloud of Malchut, which is its aspect, Malchut became bound with them.
