So it is not necessary for the first light (Chessed) to ascend from the bottom up and wave it (תנופה) but to spread out and be revealed, and not to ascend like the other on the Left, that is gold as above. and so gold is called a wave (תנופה) and not silver. For that reason, it is written, “And the silver from the congregation” (Exodus 38:25), and not “the silver of wave (תנופה)…”

The Right side will always sustain the whole world, illuminate and bless it. And so the priest who is on the Right side, Chessed, always blesses the people because from the right side come all the blessings to the world. The priest receives it first and is appointed to bless above and below. Chessed from above, and the priest from below.

When the priest spreads his hands to bless the people, the Shechina shines on him and fills his hands. He raises his right hand higher than the left to have the Right rule over the Left. Then all the levels on which the priest spreads his hands are blessed by the source of everything. The source of the well is the aspect of a righteous person, who is Yessod, the source of everything, which is the world to come, Binah. The Mochin of Binah illuminates all levels because it is the well and the source of everything, and all the candles and lights are lit from there.
